Today I want to share with you a wonderful resource for picture book writers: MENTOR TEXT TALKS by Rate Your Story.
Every Sunday, Lynne Marie (PB author and owner of Rate your Story) guides a discussion about picture books. In these ZOOM sessions, we get to read 2-3 picture books, analyze why they are successful, and what elements made them publishable.
It’s an amazing FREE learning opportunity for those interested in writing PBs and improving their craft. A nice bonus is that sometimes the authors of the books we read join the session and we get to know more about their path to publication, which is very exciting.
This is truly a wonderful way to spend one hour a week learning and being immersed in picture books. Try it and you’ll love it! ❤️
