MY ADVANCE READER COPIES

I recently received a package from Albert Whitman in the mail, and inside it there were two arcs (advance reader copies) of Santiago’s Dinosaurios, which is essentially the book in color but not in hardcopy. The arcs are uncorrected proofs not for sale. Their main purpose is to make sure the book is printing well but also to make the book available to reviewers or influencers.

Getting the arc in my hands was a very special moment. I have seen the book digitally many times now, but looking at it physically is a completely different thing. Now I’m going to use the arcs to visit libraries and bookstores in my zone, so that maybe later we can work together for book signings or signed copies.

I’m really excited because it’s a very important milestone in my path to publication with Santiago. I’ll keep you posted on what happens next, I can’t wait for the book to be on the shelves and in the hands of little readers. Each day is a closer step to making my dream come true. 😊
