On October 6th I had the opportunity and pleasure of participating in School’s Library Journal Day of Dialog Fall 2022. It was an amazing experience!
I shared a panel called Conversation Starters with talented authors and wonderful books:
📚 Tiania Haneline, I’m Going to Have a Good Day (Zonderkidz)
📚 Thao Lam, The Line in the Sand (Owlkids)
📚 C.K. Malone, A Costume for Charly (Beaming Books)
📚 Mariana Ríos Ramírez, Santiago’s Dinosaurios (Albert Whitman)
Our moderator for the event was Jonathan Hunt, Coordinator, Library Media Services, San Diego County Office of Education (CA). His questions were thoughtful and spot on, and they contributed to an interesting conversation about our books.
Overall, I’m very satisfied and grateful with how this event turned out. It was my first time participating on panel as a writer, so it was a big day for me. I hope that the viewers of the event enjoyed it and that they found value in our stories and books.
Santiago’s release day is finally approaching and I’m very thankful for the opportunities I’ve had to speak up about this book so far. I can’t wait to see what the future weeks will bring. 🦖🦕
